**Please note the DIY Kit only contains the wood, NO paint, or other items to make it are included.

Measurement: Approximately 6.75 inches wide and 6.75 inches tall.

For Painted:

The Highland cow is painted using two tones of brown. It has cream-colored horns and black hooves. The cow is surround by leaves in bright colors of orange and red. The brown stand measures approximately 6.75 inches long and 1.25 inches wide.

Because they are hand-painted no two are the same. The shelf sitter is sealed with a high gloss sealer and is intended for indoor use only. Since it is sealed with a spray sealer, there may be a slight odor when opening the package. This odor will go away after sitting out.

FOR THE DIY KIT:

*The kit is unfinished and unassembled. If needed lightly sand the area where I taped the pieces together. Pieces can be fragile and should be handled with care. The stand should fit snugly. If you are a heavy painter, the area where you attached the stand may need to be lightly sanded to fit into the stand. Please do not force the stand on, instead rock it back and forth to put it in place.

The DIY kit DOES NOT contain glue, paint, or brushes. You will need to assemble the item using super glue, E6000, or stick-fast adhesive glue. I use super glue for smaller items and larger pieces, I use E6000.

Acrylic and chalk paint work best for me. The item can be painted using brushes or even inexpensive make-up sponges. I have used both in my painting classes and in painting my things. These are laser-cut items. You can expect some dark edges or char marks that can be sanded away or painted over them. Being that they are laser-cut there will be a burnt wood smell.

Material:

Each layer is cut from 1/8 inch (3mm) MDF.

Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF Board) is a wood material prepared by separating the softwood or hardwood residuals into the wood fibers, frequently in a defibrillator, wax mixing and forming a shape-like a panel by using high pressure and temperature. It is an engineered wood product with a smooth surface with no voids, knots, or splinters. MDF is moisture-resistant, not water-resistant, nor waterproof, and is still prone to swelling and warping if in direct contact with the elements.
