Can my Baptism Bowl be used in the ceremony?

Yes! Your Baptism Bowl is designed to pour the baptismal waters during the ceremony. Holy water can be housed in any clean container or vessel. We have received amazing feedback and compliments from priests, deacons and ministers who love using our bowls. We do recommend, as a courtesy, that you give the officiant notice prior to the ceremony so that he may properly prepare.

Use of Edding 4200 Porcelain Brushpen

Remove any ribbons from ceramic piece. Find an area on back of bowl that is smooth, avoiding the three “pin marks” where piece was placed on stilts during kiln firing. Wipe area with dry, clean cloth to remove any fingerprints. Remove cap and write as you would with a normal pen. If you make a mistake you can wipe off with damp cloth and start again. Make sure to recap pen immediately to avoid drying. Once lettering is complete, allow piece to dry for 15 minutes then place in 320° oven for 25 minutes. Shut off oven and let bowl cool before removing. Lettering is now permanent.

Installing and Use of Handmade Holy Water Fonts

•Use enclosed brass screw to secure font to drywall, wood or plaster. •Do not over-tighten. Take care to leave a small space between screw head & font to avoid cracking. •Place included bumper pad on lower back of font to keep level. Keep filled and use often!

What do I do if my item arrives damaged?

Each piece is carefully packaged, and while it's rare for something to arrive damaged, we're here to help if it does. Please contact us within 24 hours and keep all packaging - we'll make things right as quickly as possible.

Where can I find info about my order? (get a copy of my receipt, check my personalization, find my ship date, etc!.)

If you need to check the details of your order, it can all be found in one place! Go to the Etsy home page and at the top right hand corner click on the "my account" icon directly to the left of the shopping cart. Pull that menu down and you will see "purchases." Your most recent Etsy purchase will be at the top. You can scroll down and see every purchase you have made and the receipts will be viewable if you click on the links to the right. You can check on ship dates, personalization requests and notes left for shop owners. This is also the place where you can grab a copy of a receipt or leave a 5 star review for your favorite purchase!

Can you accommodate rush orders?

If you need your order to be made faster than the production time listed, please reach out before placing your order. When our schedule allows, we offer a rush option and will provide instructions for upgrading. Because each piece is handmade & the process takes time, often we begin crafting your order as soon as it’s received—this means cancellations aren’t accepted. Please note: we often receive orders with backdates or gifts intended for after the event, so we don't reach out to ask if you'd like a rush. Upgrading to Express shipping shortens the transit time after your order leaves our studio—it doesn’t affect how long it takes us to create your item.

Each bowl comes with the verse shown. Simply leave the child's name as you would like it to appear and numerical date of First Communion in pull down menu at checkout. Make sure to triple check your spellings and date! We will personalize your bowl exactly as you tell us. If there is anything extra we should know (accent marks, spacing request, etc.) please feel free to use the "notes to seller box."

Your bowl will arrive in our signature gift box with bow. If you are sending it as a gift make sure they know it is from you -- we're happy to include a gift card at no additional charge. Just tell us what to say and we'll do the rest.
