A Kreative Kranium Handmade Original.
My customer loved the Zuni, so Zuni Nomad was born—its wilder, rougher kin.
Crafted from 100% gray western-weight beaver, it features a sharp pinched-nose crown with light distressing that lets the felt do the talking.
A cut of Navajo rug and torn bandana create the hatband, stitched into the brim and finished with leather ties.
She wanted turquoise, outlaw style: a weathered pheasant feather, a turquoise-wrapped porcupine quill, and hand-strung turquoise and jasper.
A 4-inch crown and 3-inch brim finish a hat built for the road.

We offer Rabbit, Nutria, and Beaver felts—each selected for quality and performance.
• Rabbit felt is the standard—reliable and versatile for everyday wear.
• Nutria felt is a step up—smooth, water-repellent, and highly durable with excellent shape retention. As an aquatic fiber, it offers stronger protection against the elements and supports conservation efforts by reducing the spread of an invasive species.
• Beaver felt is the premium—refined, resilient, and built for long-term wear with superior water resistance and structure.

**Hat Care
• If your felt hat gets caught in the rain, reshape it while it’s still damp and let it dry resting on the sweatband. Don’t lay it on the brim—you’ll lose that edge.
• Dust happens. Knock it off with a soft-bristle brush. (A beard brush does the job right.)
• Heat is the enemy—it’ll shrink your sweatband and steal your fit. Keep your hat away from stoves, radiators, lamps, and window heat. When you're not wearing your hat, a hat stretcher helps hold the line.
• Store it like it matters. Cool, dry, and out of the chaos. A hat box or bag keeps it clean and ready for the next ride.
