Antique STETSON Victorian Bonnet Hat: 1800s 19th Century Antique Women Hat Victorian Cap, Reenactment Clothing, Coquette

DESCRIPTION
* antique Stetson women hat from the late 19th century, most likely made in 1880s-1890s when small bonnets were in fashion
* Victorian bonnet design: close-fitting metal wired cap, small size, comes with side ribbons to be tied as a bow under the chin
* made of black wrinkle pleated fabric, semi-sheer
* embellished with ruched and ruffled band in the front
* comes with thick grosgrain ribbons on the side
* double layered lining, made of hand-sewn black silk fabric. The top layer is equipped with adjustable drawstring construction
* marked "Stetson, Easton, PA"

CONDITION
* there are some loose straw pieces lodged inside the hat. The straw was used to stiffen the edge of the bonnet along with the metal wires. the straw bits are visible on the exterior since the fabric is slightly sheer. Please see the last photo.
* two metal wire poke out at the back of the hat, some small holes where the wires poke out.
* some rips of the ends of ribbons.
