Do I need a heat pack or cold pack

Remember you are purchasing a perishable item which cannot take low temps. If your temps are extreme please purchase a heat/cold pack from our shop along with selecting USPS priority. Most plants do just fine - however the risk still exists. We do not guarantee, insure, provide replacements/refunds or recommend first class mail for shipping plants. If you are unsure if you need priority, heat pack, etc, message me where I can help. As our many reviews prove, we package our plants as carefully with love and care to ensure we have done our part to protect shipping your plants.

My plant is wilted when l opened the box.

Your plant is in shock and stress from shipping. Plants will be dehydrated due to no air, sunlight or water for x number of days within transit. If you purchase a heat pack, this is a cause of additional drying-- because it is heat and evaporates any remaining moisture within the box. Upon plant arrival, unpack immediately and place in soil and give a sip of water. Monitor frequently for several days adjusting water, light placement. Allow at least a week for plant to stabilize. We provide our email address if you need a digital copy of a care sheet.

In your order history, click on the photo of your purchased product, scroll down and select "track purchase". Scroll down at that page and you can click on "tracking history" which will give you detailed information. As a seller l will be more than happy to check for you but l see the exact same status as you do :)

My shipping status says "in transit"

This means it is at a post office hub being processed. Every "hop" to the next post office hub until it gets to your house will be marked with an entry. The last hop message will say "out for delivery" which means the postmaster has the item in his/her possession transporting to your house (per information from my postmaster).

In a nutshell, heat packs are designed to get warm over a period of time throughout the shipment of your plants to your home. They will slowly warm up, top out at a certain temperature, then slowly decline in temp. This added warmth will helps your tender, soft tissue plants during transit. Over a period of time the heat packs will go inactive and become hard/cold. This means it was working as designed.

What does it mean by "fit 4"

This means that the plant will fit a 4" in pot. It does not mean the plant is 4" wide or tall, albeit it could be. Example...a spider plant is not going to be 4" tall when shipped however it is best recommended from my 30 years experience and education that it needs to be planted in a 4 inch pot upon arrival to your home.

How do l file a claim with post office

FILING CLAIMS WITH THE UNITED STATES POST OFFICE In the event your plant is dead or on verge of dying due to shipment delays, priority mail comes with insurance and you can file a claim on the USPS website. Here are some things the post office will require when filing your claim. 1. Pictures of the shipping box (different angles) showing the mailing label 2. Contents of the box upon opening different angles 3. Pictures of the plants at different angles showing the plant 5. Any other pictures showing damage that will assist in the filing of a claim with the USPS NOTE: KEEP THE BOX AND CONTENTS OF YOUR CLAIM UNTIL YOUR CLAIM IS PROCESSED. Sometimes postal carriers want to see the box and contents so do not throw away.

Following along ETSYs promise to reduce carbon footprinting, we are doing the same. We no longer put caresheets in the shipment boxes. Simply message us via the ETSY app requesting care sheet and we will be happy to email you one. The caresheet we provide as what we have found that works best for us- in our region and climate. This does NOT replace doing your continued research on the internet for your plant but will definitely give you a heads up on the basic care for your plant till you have time to research.

The US postal services has increased their rates (once again) for shipping. First class shipping, priority and priority express are our shipping methods; each with different prices. Shipping times/speed, weight and size of box are just a few things that correlate with the price of shipping. These prices are fixed from the ETSY listing and most of the time are out of our control for the amount.

Base has 2 sets of slots cut out to secure topper to tree with wire or zip ties. As a side note, this is metal (which has weight) and if you find that your tree is needing to be more sturdy, a wooden dowel placed down the side of the tree and secured with zip ties works well for strengthening your tree.

Since this is hand crafted, no 2 will be exactly alike however similar in nature. We do our very best to get as much dross, molten metal bits (from the sign making process) off the sign by sanding. Rarely, there may be fine sighted imperfections within the metal which makes your piece a one of a kind. Metal, including ours, have edges, so handle appropriately. As we do not know in what conditions you will be placing your art, no warranties are implied. If damaged during usps shipping, we will help you should you need assistance filing a claim with the post office.
