Made with weather and bug resistant cedar, it is sanded to a smooth surface. Left natural it will weather to a light gray patina or the customer can seal, paint or stain.
Sleeper Platform Option is available for all trees. Three sides on the side perches and all on the top perch have 1 3/4" high inside raised edge (2 1/2" outside).
76" high (77 3/4" with sleep option.)
The base is a stable 42" width and depth.
Post perches are 16 1/2" wide and 18" deep with a 4" post notch.
Top perch is a full 16 1/2" wide and 18" deep.
Height from perch to perch - 15 3/4".

I gave it 5 stars because it’s exactly what I was looking for, and my cat took to it right away. I needed something to put on my deck so my cat could reach the roof in case he needed to escape a coyote. There are a couple of things to keep in mind, though, that surprised me. It’s advertised as “sanded to a smooth surface,” but not all pieces were sanded on both sides, and there are nail-gun hole marks on the platforms that will need to be filled in. One last thing: the platforms were not exactly level after screwing in, but can be easily fixed by putting something in the bottom between the wood to level them. I chose to get one sleeping platform. I think all in all it's a bit pricey, but it’s worth the peace of mind. I would have posted more pics and videos, but it is only allowing one.

Thanks Val for the nice review and the wonderful video. We use galvanized pin nails just to hold the board together while the TiteBond III glue dries. The glue is professional rated outdoor wood glue. All boards on the tops of the perches are smooth, and we do sand the rough undersides, but I will make sure they are done better. I will add a line to the instructions so if anyone has an issue with level platforms all they will know what to do. Thanks again George
Great quality and excellent customer service
This is a solid and sturdy cat tree that will last a lifetime. I elected the sleeper shelves, and they are well worth the extra money. Each shelf has plenty of space for cats large and small. It was relatively easy to put together with an electric screwdriver. A second set of hands could speed up the build but not required. Strong cedar smell, which will no doubt dissipate over time. I enjoy the scent personally and am using the tree indoors. The real test was my male cat, who is quite large and also picky. I placed him on the tree, and he confidently climbed up and down a few shelves. After some bird watching he laid down and took a long nap. Later he discovered the very top shelf and proudly looked out over his kingdom. His sister had a similar reaction and is also enjoying the tree. Suffice to say cat approved.
