WE GUARANTEE THAT THESE ARE FRESH MAUI SEEDS. WE DO NOT/CANNOT GUARANTEE WHAT HAPPENS TO THESE SEEDS ONCE THEY ARE SAFELY RECEIVED, INSPECTED + KEPT BY YOU.
These seeds are collected from GMO FREE Strawberry Papayas, grown by us here on our 2 acre Haiku, Maui family farm. The Papayas that these seeds come from have a delicious taste and beautiful color.
Try growing + eating your own chilled Papaya with fresh squeezed Lime. This is a popular Maui flavor combination. (One of the listing photos is of our Strawberry Papaya with our Tahitian Limes)
Please read up on how to grow Papaya trees in your area. Papaya is a great tree for Home Gardeners looking to grow their own fruit. Papaya will produce flowers/fruit the first year when grown from seed.
******IT WILL TAKE THESE FRESH FROM THE FRUIT PAPAYA SEEDS 6+ WEEKS TO START TO GERMINATE. We have had luck starting our fresh Papaya seeds in a communal container of good potting soil. Keep your seeds/seedlings evenly watered and warm (75-85 degrees) at all times. Once your baby Papaya trees are large enough you can carefully transplant the larger/faster growing seedlings into individual containers. Papayas grow best with rapid, uninterrupted growth. We like to grow a healthy root system with our seedlings before planting them in the ground/garden/larger container.
