*BLUE SHASTA SAGE: feathery light leaves and a sweeter, lighter scent than CA white sage. Good used to lighten one's space and heart, and prepare for stillness and meditation; good carried in a Medicine pouch.
*DESERT SAGE: A sweet-scented Artemesia; good for sweetening your environmental, lightening your surroundings, and helping you gain perspective. Good for lifting the Spirit; helps to create more space and clarity, to see far into a situation. When I am not sure what to do next, I invite the spirit of Desert Sage to fill my rooms and heart.

Native Peoples in all directions use herbs individually or in combination with other herbs before and during ceremonies, and before important life events. Herb bundles are burned to create a smoke that embellishes one's own scent (smudging), to add Plant Spirits to our invocations, and to carry prayers Skyward. Feather fans increase the blessings- Winged Ones add their own Spirit, and carry prayers and intentions further.
