Begonia Brevirimosa 'Exotica' Edinburgh Starter Plant

The Begonia Brevirimosa enjoys medium to bright indirect light indoors. Outdoors, it is best placed in shelter or with shade over it. There, it thrives in partial shade. Too little light is detrimental for the plant since it relies on photosynthesis to produce its energy.
It is a warm weather loving plant. It comes from tropical and subtropical regions which makes it used to moderate to warm temperatures.

From the rain forest of Malaysia comes one of the most striking fibrous begonias in cultivation. As if touched by an artist's hand, the vibrant tones of bright rose-red highlight the large leaves and upright growth. Not often seen, this glorious species prefers high humidity and warm temperatures. When grown indoors, it will spice up any collection, or use it in the summer garden to bring color and texture to planters or window boxes.
As such, its ideal temperature is between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

It can likewise tolerate higher temperatures. But this range is where it feels most comfortable in.

Weight: A plant bareroot will be about 3-6". But, we can accommodate potting for extra.
Shipping plants bare root plants are the preferred method and can bring down the cost of shipping the plant, but it does cause some stress to a plant which may take a little bit of time to rectify. Please be aware of that fact & act accordingly.
Nearly all our plants are grown in plug trays and are well maintained. We follow a rule, we will never ship something we would not be happy to receive ourselves, and we always ship the biggest and best we have at the time an order is placed. Our sample photos depict an average example of the plants we grow and offer. Your plant could be larger or smaller than the sample photos as it is a depiction and not necessarily the exact plant. We do expect the purchaser to have a bit of knowledge in plant husbandry and basic care, otherwise we do not recommend ordering. However, all orders do come with a care guide as reference.
