Wood play coins are made just like our real money (coins of the United States).
My customers used to buy wooden discs with numbers for their kids, and then they wrote me that they are playing shopping games with their kids. Then I decided to make wood play coins like actual coins. We started making the coins.
The result was surprising – these coins looks really nice! These are the perfect thing!
My kids are so excited we're doing this.

You can play with your children shopping games, you can have a "store" with goodies the kids can buy with their money. Kids will count money, learn how to calculate, and learn easy math by adding and figuring out how much extra was paid and return the excess which is called change. They will find the least number of coins to give in change.
For example, you can play a game when your child is a buyer, and you are a a shop-assistant selling candies.
Set a nominal price, say 6 cents for each candy.
Your kid will buy giving you 1 and 5 cents, and he will learn that 5 +1 = 6. Your child will really enjoy this game.
A lot of kids would like to start their own business, and you can develop keen interest in business and entrepreneurial activity with a help of this game Kid’s Play Money.

The set includes one of each coin: one, five, ten, and twenty five cents coins. Each coin is only once in the set, but you can order as many play coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters) as you need.
Coins are in diameter approx. 1 3/8" x 1/8” thick (3,5 cm x 0,5 cm)
To make an image clear on each coin, they are not finished with natural linseed oil. If you want them finished with natural linseed oil, please, let me know it.

Coins are made of birch.

These are beautiful. I made the mistake of not reading the details thoroughly, so I was disappointed that only 1 of each coin came. I would definitely pay more for a bunch of each of these coins because of the quality of them. I'll get more in order to achieve what I was looking for with my kids.

Nice coins. Slightly bigger than expected, but will work for her toy cash register. Expect to wait a long time for them. I think it took close to a month to receive.
