This floral ebru design name is Tulip Ebru

I made this painting with natural paints. These paints are made from earth and some natural minerals.
These colors never disappear or fade.

I also created this artwork with a very old technique that calls Ebru.

Ebru, also known as Turkish marbling, is a traditional art form that involves creating intricate patterns on the surface of water, which are then transferred onto paper or fabric. The process combines water, natural dyes, and a viscous substance (traditionally made with a thickener like carrageenan) to hold the paint on the water’s surface. Artists use special tools like brushes made of rose stems and horsehair to apply and manipulate the paint.

Key Elements of Ebru Art:
1. Water Basin: A shallow tray filled with water mixed with a thickening agent.
2. Natural Paints: Pigments mixed with ox gall to help them float and spread on the water.
3. Brushes and Tools: Used to apply and shape the paints, often into floral or geometric patterns.
4. Paper Transfer: Once the design is complete, a sheet of paper or fabric is carefully placed on the water to absorb the pattern.

Styles and Techniques:
• Battal: Simple, flowing patterns.
• Gelgit: Wave-like designs created by combing.
• Taraklı: Intricate patterns made using combs.
• Floral Designs: Often include tulips, roses, or other motifs.

Ebru is deeply rooted in Turkish culture and has been recognized by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It is admired for its meditative process and unique, unpredictable results, as no two pieces are ever identical.
