You're looking at a spectacle case constructed with Buttero vegetable-tanned leather from Conceria Walpier Tannery in Italy. Vegetable-tanned leather is commonly used for making harnesses due to its strength and durability. The leather we use is around 5-6 oz thick, providing plenty of strength and structure to the case. Offering plenty of protection for your sunglasses/glasses. We even added a leather arch inside the case not only to keep your glasses in place but also to further reinforce the structure. The case is so strong that it wouldn't lose shape even if you accidentally sat on it.

The glasses case is entirely stitched by hand with strong polyester thread, ensuring maximum durability. The edges are beveled and hand-burnished to achieve a nice smooth finish.

Leather Colors
Our glasses case is available in a wide range of Buttero leather, please refer to the last photo in the listing for color reference. Natural leather will have white stitching, and all other colors will be stitched with matching/similar colored thread.

The light tan color is the natural color of the hide. However, as soon as you start using our natural products the leather would start developing a unique patina. Exposing natural vegetable tanned leather to sunlight, oils, sweat, etc. would accelerate the process. The more you use the product, the faster it would darken. Within days of using the product, you would discover a color change in the leather and a unique patina would be developed.

Vegetable-tanned leather is extremely tough and could serve for many years. However, it does require occasional maintenance depending on the storage condition and usage. Leather often soaked and dried would draw out oils from the leather and would require more care (e.g. watch straps). If the leather is starting to look or feel dry, we recommend using natural conditioners like mink oil to replenish the oils in the leather.
