Specifications
A useful tool that pairs with the threaded inserts. This mount is easily secured to a chuck, which and has threads that match the threaded inserts. You can use this to finish the base of your project without the need of a tailstock. Note that you only need one of these for each size of threaded insert you plan on using.
The tenon for the chuck are at set sizes to fit with common jaws
0 to 45mm = 40mm tenon
50mm to 95mm = 50mm tenon
100mm - 150mm = 100mm tenon

Listed sizes are standard, custom sizes up to 240mm [9.5"] available upon request. Note that this design pairs with the latest design released in March, 2024.
This product is manufactured out of a corn based polymer called PLA. It has good mechanical properties up to about 60°C. Exceeding that temperature (e.g. sitting in the hot sun in a closed space) can cause deformation and loss of strength. If higher temperature resistance is needed send a message to inquire about other options!
This is 3D a printed design of my own creation and is manufactured in Ottawa, Canada. It was popular with the Valley Woodturners, so I thought I would make it available for others!
A warning on material strength; these parts are designed with strength in mind, but there are still limitations for the size of piece it can support. For best results use this with tailstock support or a steady-rest.
