This our best selling tapestry wall hanging is entitled "The Magic Forest." It is based on William Morris's art. The scene features a beautiful wooded landscape with a hare, fox, and deer.

Above each tree is a banner with an inscription written by William Morris in his "Verses for Pictures," published in 1891. The inscription above the pear tree is "By woodsman's edge I faint and fail, by craftsman's edge I tell the tale." The chestnut tree bears the inscription: "High in the wood, high o'er the hall, aloft I rise, when low I fall." The oak tree bears the inscription: "Unmoved I stand what wind may blow, swift swift before the wind I go."

Rich greenery with trees, plants, flowers and forest animals creates the sense of mystique secrecy and magic. Unique Morris's botanical and floral patterns are the timeless classic style.

This tapestry comes in three sizes and in two background colors which mean day and night time:
- 62" x 27" dark,
- 96" x 46" dark,
- 58"x127" dark,
- 62" x 27" light,
- 96" x 46" light,
- 58"x127" light.

The tapestry technique is distinctive in that the wefts (threads on bobbins) are woven between the fixed warp threads only as far as each color is required, rather than running all the way across the work from selvedge to selvedge.
