I measure all of my items in inches. I measure them by laying them flat and doubling the measurement. I recommend that you use a tape measure to measure your body but if you don’t have a tape the best way is to find a similar item to what you are buying in your wardrobe, measure it and then compare with the item you are looking to purchase. These are the easiest ways to make sure an item will fit properly. If you have any sizing questions please ask me as I like it when a customer gets their vintage item and it fits beautifully on them.

Decades old clothing require special care and attention. Many older pieces are made in fabrics that are no longer manufactured or have been replaced with easy care synthetic alternatives. I recommend that you always HAND WASH your vintage clothes. If you have silks, rayon or wool items please do not use harsh detergents and don't ring them. Spot cleaning is a good alternative and always blot rather than rub. Never wash a wool coat! If in doubt head off to your dry cleaner. This will ensure that your clothes will last many more years.

These clothes have stood the test of time but sometimes have small marks, need a stitch or two and sometimes are a little frayed around the edges. I try to make sure that items with faults are noted in the description but sometimes I may miss something. I always look at these flaws as a life well lived. Still loveable after all of these years.

Vintage sizing differ to modern sizing

Old sizes are very different to what we have now. A vintage size 22 could fit a modern size 16 - 18 or a vintage size 12 could fit a modern size 8-10. ALWAYS MEASURE. Most vintage sellers will list what size is on the label but keep in mind it will be different to todays sizing. Always go by the measurements. When in doubt measure.....

A tape measure, its marvellous and a magical tool. I recommend buying one for yourself and keeping it on you at all times!

Antique Silver Tones Metal Screw on Lid, Glass Stopper & Beveled Glass Perfume Bottle

A lovely French antique 1910 perfume bottle. Faceted glass, silver plated, with screw top and glass stopper. This simply elegant beveled edge perfume bottle. Pretty antique perfume bottle has stood the test of time. In amazing conditions for its age!!

There is a minute chip on the little glass stopper and some minute chips on the bottles top. Please see silver photo. They are exceeding hard to see.
