Seller's description

Romantasy at its most literal: a demon prince and a mortal woman, holding each other in an underworld of molten red and drowned green, while the shapes in the dark behind them watch. She has one hand cupped to the side of his horned face and her eyes are closed. He has both arms around her waist. Neither of them is looking at the fire. Whatever bargain was made to get here, it has already been made, and the tenderness of it is the whole point: this is not a monster taking a woman, it is two people who chose each other in a very bad place.

"The Bargain" is the title of this piece, and it is painted in a modern dark fantasy style, loose and atmospheric, with her blonde hair streaming out into the murk and the black feathered edges of his form dissolving into the smoke. The palette is the unusual part, blood red against a sick, luminous green, so it reads nothing like the moonlit blues and Victorian golds that this subject usually gets. It belongs above a bookshelf, in a reading corner, or over a bed, and it is aimed squarely at anyone whose shelves are full of fae courts and morally grey men.

Printed on high-quality archival fine art paper and available in matte or satin finish. The matte finish gives a softer, more muted look with reduced glare, while the satin finish adds gentle sheen and slightly richer colours, allowing details and highlights to stand out more clearly. Frame not included.

For Giclee prints up to A4 size we ship them flat unless they are ordered alongside a larger print. For larger sizes we carefully roll and package them in a protective tube for safe delivery. Please note that frames are not included.

Every print is created, checked and packaged by me in my Liverpool studio. Each order is prepared with close attention to detail so your artwork arrives safely and beautifully presented. All parcels are shipped using tracked services for reliable delivery from England to your home.

I create and develop my artwork using digital painting and compositing techniques with a graphics tablet and professional design software. My creative process also incorporates digital tools such as custom brushes and AI-assisted tools, with each piece manually refined and finished by me to achieve the final artwork.

Please be aware that the colors, brightness, contrast, saturation and vibrancy of the artwork may vary across different screens and devices. The printed image may look different from what you see on your screen due to these variations. Although my prints accurately reflect the original artwork, I have no control over the display settings of individual devices which can influence how the artwork appears.

Please note that I create my original artwork in different proportions, so small adjustments are sometimes needed when fitting them to different print sizes. All key elements of the artwork always remain fully visible and true to the original design.
