Highlights
I designed and sewed this Spanish-style Renaissance (or princess) gown from a combination of reclaimed materials. The 100% cotton, black and green stripe was, once upon a time, a thrifted men's shirt. I cut the bodice and skirt insets from a thrifted (new, with tags still on) pillow sham. All the red silk was once a woman's thrifted blouse. The decorative embroidered sleeve overlays (my very rare use of synthetic material) are culled from my ever-evolving reclaimed trim stash.
The bodice is lined and has little metal snaps hand sewn on for back closure.
Made by me specifically to fit your American Girl doll perfectly.
I wash all fabric with eco-friendly, fragrance free laundry soap prior to sewing.
All seams and hems are finished.
No velcro to snag on hair and delicate fabrics such as tights and satin.
For longest life: hand wash, air dry.
Made by me in my smoke free/pet free home studio.
