This is a fabulous 1960s vintage formal tux or dinner jacket featuring a brocade purplish blue and black shiny mohair and wool blended fabric. The jacket has padded shoulders, rickrack edged shawl lapels, and pockets at either side and at the left chest - there are pocket flaps, but I’ve posed the pockets as jetted pockets with the flaps hidden inside the pockets. There is a 10” vent at the centre back. The jacket does up with a single black plastic button at the waist. There are two black plastic buttons at either cuff. It is half lined in a black acetate fabric.

Sizing: No size is indicated, but it should fit a medium size, probably a US size 38-40, perhaps short - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the outside:
Shoulders: 17 3/4” across seam-to-seam
Sleeves: 23 1/2” long (additional 1 3/4” inside the cuff)
Sleeve Inseam: 15 1/2”
Chest: 43” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 42” around
Overall length: 28 1/2“, measured flat
Condition: It is in excellent condition, very crisp and clean with no wear, tear or staining. This tux jacket looks like it saw little, if any, use and was well cared for over the years.
This is a great 60s period dinner jacket, the type of thing that an R&B/Soul singer would have worn during the 1960s - wonderful fabric and colour, rarely seen!
