In this listing, you'll find everything you need to learn how to make your own leather chest belt. A detailed pattern is included, easy to print in DIN A4 or letter size, or even A0 if you have access to a larger printer, so you don't have to spend time assembling the pattern.

- Materials needed -
· About 2’5sq.ft of 2'5-2'7mm thick veg tan leather.
· Straps of rawhide leather, goatskin or any other thin and soft leather you prefer.
· 30 rivets and rivets setter.
· 5x 18-20mm wide buckle.
· 1x 30-32mm wide buckle.
Optional:
- Double-sided tape or contact glue.
- Tools needed -
- Leather scissors or a sharp cutter.
- Leather punch holes,
- Brushes (for dyeing)
- Rivets setter set.
- Beveler
- Engraving tools
The file is specially designed so you don't need extensive leatherworking experience, and you can adapt the final product to your skill level if you don't feel confident enough.

I strayed from the pattern a bit to fit a slightly different aesthetic but overall the pattern was easy to follow and the assembly went very smoothly!

Excellent pattern! Really fun project and easy enough to follow
Ensure that you properly size the pattern. Different sizes are not included. I suggest using tape or tacks to assemble your paper pattern and then adjust to your fit and style. I am not a giant and ended up having to cut 4 inches off almost every piece so that the sword wasnt hanging down at my knees at 5'9. I did make the baldric but I had a lot of issues because I assumed I was average and could adjust to fit with the buckles. I also suggest sourcing some buckles first and then adjusting the straps to fit your buckles. I had a surprisingly hard time finding a fantasy style brass buckle in the right sizes. Avoid the headache by adjusting the pattern. Also if you know how to use a strap cutter and end punch you can use your own belt blanks / straps rather than trace them and cut them from the pattern.
