Seller's description

Specifications

May include: A brown wooden spinning wheel featuring a large circular wheel with numerous spokes, a horizontal bench, a vertical flyer assembly with a bobbin, and a tripod base. The structure is crafted from turned wood components throughout.

Authentic late 19th-century Norwegian spinning wheel dating to around 1880. Made from turned wood with a large 62 cm wheel, traditional flyer assembly and a wonderful aged surface developed through generations of use.

This is a substantial working piece rather than a later decorative reproduction. Its worn timber, turned components and old repairs give it the character we want from genuine Scandinavian folk craft.

The spinning wheel can be partly dismantled for safer and considerably more economical shipping.
