🌱 The Story Behind FC Pods 🌱

Before FC Pods, I launched my first product, Root Pods, on Kickstarter. This was the original air-layering pod, an idea born from my passion for plants and sustainability. I didn’t just design Root Pods; I built the injection mold for it right here in my barn using old machines I’d fixed up myself. This product was truly unique, so much so that I even secured a patent. At the time, nothing like it was available on the market.

However, as the product gained popularity, overseas companies took notice, creating cheap knockoffs that undercut my prices. Manufacturing Root Pods in the USA became impossible due to the cost. With limited resources, defending my patent wasn’t feasible, but I refused to give up on my vision. Determined, I purchased an old injection molding machine, repaired it, and set up production right in my barn to keep Root Pods alive and affordable.

Introducing FC Pods: Built on the foundation of Root Pods, FC Pods are a more cost-effective option that still embodies my commitment to quality and sustainability. While Root Pods have thicker walls and foam cells designed to maintain moisture, FC Pods were designed to offer a simpler alternative, accessible to everyone.

Each FC Pod features a semi-translucent, smoked tint so you can monitor root growth, a watering cup on top, a spike for secure attachment, and a living hinge for easy clamping. They’re made right here by me in the USA, each one a product of hard work and ingenuity.
