📀About the artist:
Rauw Alejandro, whose real name is Raúl Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz, is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, and dancer who has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in Latin urban music in the last decade. Born on January 10, 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Rauw grew up influenced by a variety of musical genres, from Caribbean music to R&B and reggaeton. Although he began gaining notoriety in the early 2010s, it was in 2018 that his career took off significantly with the collaboration on the single "Toda" alongside Alex Rose. His fresh style, which combines catchy melodies, romantic lyrics, and youthful energy, has made him a favorite among new generations.

Rauw Alejandro returns on November 15th with Cosa Nuestra, an album that resonates like a deep echo of his roots. The material is a timely exploration of genres and styles, inviting listeners on a sensory journey that fuses the past and present. Rauw weaves collaborations with a wide range of artists and pays homage to great figures and the sounds that shaped him. Cosa Nuestra is not just an album; it's an emotional map that traces his artistic journey, a vibrant tribute to the past, with his eyes always on the future.

Rauw described this as “the fourth album of circles,” since the covers of his albums Afrodisíaco, VICE VERSA, SATURNO, and now Cosa Nuestra feature circles. “I decided to do the circles because when I’m old I want to put them all on the wall. Each one will tell a story about my history, my career, or that moment in my life,” he explained in an interview.

Across 18 tracks, the Puerto Rican artist explores analog and organic sounds, as well as his interest in the history of his own culture, contrasting it with his love for R&B. Folkloric sounds and instruments like the güiro, maracas, percussion, and bongos flourish on this album, evoking the Puerto Rican sound and blending seamlessly with electronic beats and sounds.
