Highlights
EMERALDS FROM MOORE is a small hardcover book published by De Wolfe Fiske and Company, Boston, late 1800's early 1900's. It has 12 gorgeous chromolithograph pictures (mostly flowers) which are accompanied by the poetry of Thomas Moore. This thin volume measures about 5 1/4” by about 7 1/4 inches tall.
In good condition for its age, it is complete, the binding, though dry, is holding and the pages are untorn and unfolded. The covers are made of silk or some kind of woven, padded fabric which makes them difficult to clean, hence why they are dirty. There are also some very minor handling stains on a few of the pages as well. Please review all the images provided as they are part of the description.
There is another book like this one called "Rubies from Byron" that indicates perhaps there was a series of these published by many different authors, but these are the only two I've ever come across.
