Highlights
This long, statement shawl is made from thick, hand-loomed raw cotton in a soft chocolate tone. The fabric is breathable, it has a natural warmth and weight that makes it as comforting to wear as it is striking to look at. The surface is hand block printed, and the shawl is finished with long, hand-worked fringe, giving it movement and presence.
It’s a piece that naturally invites attention — whether worn as ceremonial or festival wear, wrapped around the shoulders on a cold day, or used at home as a bed throw or chair cover. Many customers tell us it always finds a place to live: if it’s not being worn, it’s draped somewhere beautiful.
People often comment on the softness, weight, and feel of this shawl. There’s something grounding about it — customers hug themselves into it, swish around in it, and smile. It’s also one of my personal favourites. I keep one in my van at all times, ready to pull out, and it never fails to draw the most wonderful compliments.
The shawl can be worn long and loose, draped simply over the shoulders, or wrapped around like a large scarf. It is warm without being heavy, breathable, and comfortable against the skin.

Care
To care for both the textile and the planet, we recommend avoiding conventional detergents where possible. Soap nuts or similarly gentle alternatives work beautifully. Always wash on the shortest, coolest cycle, or by hand if preferred.
Please do not tumble dry. Allow the shawl to dry naturally, then gently shake out the fringe. Tumble drying will cause the fringe to knot and curl.
Although the cotton is durable, the harder any textile is treated, the shorter its lifespan.
Colours are shown in multiple lighting conditions but may vary slightly depending on screen settings and devices.
