Since 2018, our company Moorwood has been creating unique products from bog oak, which is 2,720 years old, as confirmed by laboratory certification. Each piece undergoes meticulous handcrafting: the oak is cut into thin lamellas, 0.27 inches thick, which are then dried, calibrated, sanded, and assembled into intricate honeycomb-like structures. The lamellas are glued onto a plywood base, resulting in final products that are 0.35 inches thick, 4.09 inches wide, and 4.72 inches tall.

Every stage, from lamella processing to the final assembly, is done by hand with meticulous attention to detail. We polish and finish the wood with oil and wax, enhancing its natural beauty and providing long-lasting protection.

We use only natural quality materials in our production. Each product is unique and goes through a large number of production stages before reaching you.

A quick note:
Like all our products, this coaster is not dishwasher-safe.
To keep it in great condition, we recommend re-oiling it from time to time, depending on use.

Wood is a natural organic material that can change shape and color depending on the environment, as well as react to humidity and temperature.
