How is the hat shipped and packaged?

All hats are shipped with a dome hat protector on a 7mm cardboard backing and placed inside a mailer bag for protection during transit. Due to shipping and handling, the brim may arrive slightly bent or creased. This is normal, temporary, and not considered a defect. The brim can be easily reshaped upon arrival. Please note: Similar to clothing that may arrive with creases and requires ironing, minor shape changes caused by shipping do not qualify as defects or grounds for a return. If you prefer your hat to be shipped in a cardboard box, this can be arranged for an additional $38 USD, as it significantly increases shipping costs. Please send me a message prior to ordering to arrange this option.

Can I change the brim?

You can reshape the brim with light steam or a low iron (cloth on top), but strong heat or pressing too hard can damage natural straw. Go slowly and reshape gently. If you prefer to reshape the brim without heat, you can place light to moderate weights (such as books or flat objects) around the brim to help it settle into a flatter or more even shape.

Because the hat crown is rounded and the ribbon is flat, the ribbon may show small ripples or slight angles where it meets the curve or be lifted in certain spots. This is completely normal on straw hats. If you are concerned please reach out.

Please keep an eye on your order, as it requires a signature to help prevent theft. If you miss your delivery, the post office usually holds it for up to two weeks. Please pick it up or arrange a redlivery. If it’s returned to us, we can refund your order minus the shipping costs (to/from). Just reach out, I’m happy to help and make sure you get your hat safely!

If you’re in between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Straw is a firm material, and most human heads are oval-shaped, so a slightly larger hat will be more comfortable and fit better.
