Long Dan Xie Gan Tang (Gentian drain liver decoction)

Contains the following herbs ground into powder
Sheng Di Huang (rehmannia)
Dang Gui (Chinese angelica root)
Long Dan Cao (gentian root)
Ze Xie (alisma tuber)
Mu Tong (akemia)
Chai Hu (bupleurum root)
Che Qian Zi (plantian seed)
Gan Cao (licorice root)
Huang Qin (scutellaria root)
Zhi Zi (gardenia fruit)

Herbs come ground into a powder and are delivered in a sealed bag.

The following are average herbal dosages for dogs and cats. It is better to start with a small amount for three days and then gradually increase.

Cats and dogs less than 20lb 1/8-1/4 teaspoon 1-2x daily
Dogs 20-45lb 1/4-1/2 teaspoon 2x daily
Dogs 45-100lb 1/2-1 teaspoon 2x daily
Larger than 100lbs 1 teaspoon or more 2x daily

-If any side effects occur stop the herbs for a few days and start again with low dose. Side effects are rare but can include vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, restlessness, or runny eyes or nose. If side effects occur with an increase in herbs stop the herbs for two days and then go back to the dosage without side effects.

-Herbs stay most potent if keep in a cool dry place. It is ok if they are refrigerated but not necessary.

-If your cat will not take herbs in food the herbs can be put in gel caps and given that way or brewed.

-Because my Chinese herbs are all made from bulk whole herbs the consistency will vary. If you find a large piece of whole herb please discard
it.
