Custom Laminated IPS Retro Pixel DMG Game Console
Original DMG-01 console, upgraded with laminated backlit IPS LCD kit, shell, and scratch-resistant glass screen lens.
The backlit IPS screen has a wide viewing angle and is 11% larger than the original LCD. Contrast wheel is replaced by toggle switch/wheel to adjust brightness, select color options, and access the On Screen Display.
Optional Power upgrade:
None - uses AA batteries, lithium preferred to provide the voltage necessary to run the backlit screen.
Rechargeable LiPo - Ditch those AAs and get 12 hours of play time with a USB-C Rechargeable Lithium battery. Includes USB charge cable.
PWR Upgrade for use with NiMh Rechargeable Batteries - NiMh rechargeables run at a lower voltage (1.2v vs. 1.5v for a lithium or alkaline AA), so a modern power regulator is necessary to convert the lower voltage to power the system and avoid random shutdown while gaming.

I typically never write reviews but I was blown away when I received my transparent Game Boy DMG. First-class customer service, excellent communication (the seller even applied the color request I made for a couple of the buttons), and outstanding craftsmanship. This seller truly knows how to mod Game Boys, and the attention to detail shows. Some people want a box full of kittens. I want a box full of this seller’s Game Boys!!!
My console came out beautifully. Everything works as it should. The only issues I've had was the games not booting up correctly giving me the glitchy Nintendo logo, but it's the original hardware so I expected it. And the color preset got bugged so I had to reset it. Regardless I'm very happy with the quality and care put into the system. Having it rechargeable and region free makes it even better
