Keep remote controls close at hand with this gorgeous tapestry style remote control caddy. It fits over the arm of a couch, recliner or chair. It could even be tucked between the mattresses if you wanted a cell phone pocket by your bed!

This is such a fun crochet project. It uses several different crochet stitches and techniques which makes this a really enjoyable project to make.

The pattern explains how to make these fun crochet stitches:
- Broomstick Lace (single stranded)
- Mini Bobble
- Extended Puff Stitch

This crochet pattern creates a remote control caddy that measures 34" long x 10" wide including the tassels.

The supplies needed to make the couch caddy are really minimal:
• Lion Brand Yarns Vanna’s Choice, 4 medium worsted weight, 100% acrylic, 170 yds/156 m, 3.5 oz/100 g, dusty green #860 173E - 3 skeins
• Crochet Hook: I/9/5.5mm hook or size needed to match gauge.
• Knitting Needle: #50
• Stitch Markers: 14
• Handmade tag: 5x2cm (optional) (purchased from Amazon)

We've made several of these family room organizers for friends and have written down the instructions for you. We would rate this as intermediate.

The remote control caddy is stitched as a rectangle...then one end is folded up to create pockets. It is crocheted in rows except the last round which gives it a nice finished edge.

I love how the couch caddies came out and once you get the flow of the stitches & the way the pattern reads it's really nice to work on. But it did take me really long to understand how to read this pattern and the constant back and forth between the pattern and stitches was annoying at first. Again, once you get the hang of it, definitely less annoying and works up quick after you understand what you're doing.

I only just glanced at the pattern but I don't think its for me. The instructions being split into "pattern" and "pattern instructions" is not what ive experienced before, and for a complex pattern it doesn't seem very useful. Sorry :(
