My custom family and couple portraits make a one of a kind and creative addition to the family home. My portraits are hand drawn and 100% personalized just for your family using your likenesses from your family photos, clothing choices, and color palette (or I can choose for you!). I do not use templates or 3rd party artwork, and I will work with you one on one to ensure your family is authentically captured. I have been drawing family, home and wedding portraits for over 10 years now, and my portraits have been seen in the New York Times, Design Sponge, Babble, Popsugar, Hello Wonderful and Cool Mom Picks.

This artwork is created solely by me and made to order with your personalized family portrait. Please note that my turnaround time is constantly changing. My typical turnaround time is 2-4 business days. During the holiday season and summer break, it can take up to 1-2 weeks. The base listing is for an unframed 2 person portrait for $98 and includes a museum quality 8X10 fine art print. Simple nature or city skyline silhouette backgrounds can be included at no extra charge, but complex full color backgrounds do cost extra. Add-ons can be purchased separately for the following cost:

*** GETTING STARTED***

1. Please purchase this 2 person custom family portrait listing and any separate add-ons from my shop for each additional person/pet and/or size upgrade needed. Or, simply message me and I will create a custom listing for you to purchase this all in one bundle.

2. Email or message me a few photos that best depict each family member. A group photo is helpful for height and body shape, but not necessary. Most importantly, it helps to have clear front views of each person’s face to best capture your unique likeness. Please let me know approximate heights and eye colors if it is not obvious in the photos. Feel free to include photos, website links, or descriptions of clothing choices. I can also choose clothing for you if you prefer. I love drawing the details - so don’t hesitate to include your favorite printed dress or child’s mismatched socks and crazy bedhead. It is those special details that will make the portrait feel like “us”.

3. I will email you with a proof of your custom portrait within the expected timeframe. I am happy to make reasonable revisions to the proof at this stage to make sure you portrait is perfect. Revisions are made within 1-2 business days.

4. Once approved, I will print and ship your fine art print within 2-3 business days.

*** ABOUT THE ART PRINT***

Every base portrait comes standard with a museum quality fine art print. This print is 8”x10” centered on an 8.5"X11” sheet to allow a white border for framing. I also offer size upgrades in my shop. The larger sizes also have a white border for trimming and framing. (Portriats do not come with frame)

This illustration is printed by me on 300 gsm super heavy weight, archival, and acid free Epson Velvet Fine Art paper using an Epson P900 printer. Epson UltraChrome pigment inks provide superior resistance to water, fading and smudging. Colors are crisp, clean, and vibrant. Please note the colors on your monitor may differ slightly from the printed art. 

Wrapped canvas is printed and shipped separately via my trusted print partner.

***SHIPPING***
Ships within 3 days of proof approval via USPS First Class Mail which takes 2-5 business days domestically or 7-14 business days internationally. *Please note that International shipping is not guaranteed to arrive within this time frame and can be unpredictable. Please allow time for your print to pass through customs*. I do have a listing in my shop to upgrade to USPS Priority shipping for $8 within the US.

Print is shipped in a cello sleeve with a 100% recycled cardboard backer and within a 100% recycled rigid cardboard envelope to ensure safe delivery. Larger prints are shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube.

A few notes:
If the portrait is intended as a gift and needed sooner than my timeframe, I do have (free) printable gift vouchers and gift certificates that you can print at home and gift the recipient in the meantime. A gift voucher is a printable that lets the recipient know that a family portrait is being created just for them! You would pay, supply the images and details and follow through on revisions. The gift certificate is a printable that you can give the recipient and all you do is pay. This allows the recipient to follow through with images and details so the portrait is totally customized to their liking.
