This bag’s design first appeared around the time of the first Carnaval de Québec in the late 1950s and has since been adopted by many different festivals and organisations. Due to its widespread use, this is the most recognized sash. These sashes are almost always made on a machine with the sides serged (sewn to keep the material together).Contrary to popular belief, this sash was never used by a traditional fur trader or bison hunter.

Le patron de ce sac a premièrement apparu autour du premier Carnaval de Québec à la fin des années 1950s et a été adopté par plusieurs festivals et organisations depuis ce temps. À cause de son utilisation populaire, ceci est le patron de ceinture fléchée le plus reconnu. Les ceintures de ce patron furent presque toujours faites à la machine avec les côtés surjetés (tissés pour garder le matériel ensemble). Contrairement à la croyance populaire, ces ceintures n’ont jamais été utilisées par des voyageurs ou des chasseurs de bisons.
