Materials with the following properties are suitable for sewing:

Dense, not stretchable, not translucent, well holding the shape;
The fabric can be both all-natural and blended, with the addition of artificial or synthetic fibers;
Recommended fabrics: cotton, canvas, linen, eco-leather, (furniture or haberdashery), corduroy;
It is not recommended to use thin and translucent fabrics, as well as stretchable fabrics;
For lining is suitable linen, cotton, viscose, synthetic fabrics. It is important that the fabric is not very stretchable, not translucent, not too thin.

i saw this design of bag in TKMax but i have recently taken up bag making. i was determined to make a bag and not spend £25 on one from the shops. i have a couple of books on bag making but not this dinky one in any of the books. Then i came across this pattern the exact same one as in the shops. The instructions were easy to follow, even as a beginner but i just re read them, enlarged the pictures up on the computer and got there in the end. first bag is for me but i want to make others for friends. so glad i came across this shop.
