1905 Textile Sample and Instruction Manual – Imperial-Royal Institute for Textile Industry in Brünn
This extraordinary 1905 Textile Sample and Instruction Manual was created by Josef Anderlitschka and originates from the prestigious K.K. Lehranstalt für Textilindustrie in Brünn (Imperial-Royal Institute for Textile Industry in Brünn, now Brno, Czech Republic). The institute was a cornerstone of Central Europe’s textile education during the Austro-Hungarian Empire, renowned for its rigorous training in textile sciences, engineering, and production techniques. Established to meet the growing demands of the thriving textile industry in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this institute played a vital role in advancing fabric manufacturing methods and training skilled professionals in the field. There are 42, double sided pages with a small fabric sample and instruction and in the back there are approximately 7, double sided , hand written pages on the reverse engineering of textile weaving.
