Beautiful ornate French Art Nouveau Silver “Poppy Girl” pin brooch, circa 1910 and artistically decorated on both sides. This is a small, hollow and fairly light weight brooch with a French Silver hallmark of the Boar's Head and a Silversmiths mark on the c clasp.

The front is signed E. Dropsy for Jean-Baptiste Émile Dropsy (1848 - 1923), he was a famous highly acclaimed French medalist, who produced many wonderful designs for the French Savard jewellery company during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco period.

Measurements
Diameter: 3/4 inch (20 mm)
weight: 2.57 grams.

Condition - traces of general marks/ scratches, the back of the brooch has some very dark patina which I have not attempted to clean. Complete with a fully functional, original C-clasp pin bar.
