This DIY Sewing pattern includes a full step by step photo tutorial and instructional PDF to make these adorable elves. The finished elf stands at approximately 12cms tall.

This simple Waldorf style elf is super easy and quick to make. It requires very few, easy to find materials so you can download the instructions and get sewing without delay.
Includes:
1 x pdf of the printable sewing pattern.
1 x pdf of a step by step tutorial with multiple photos.

To make an elf You will need:
1. Main hat and body suit fabric
2. Head fabric
3. Stuffing
4. Fabric or ribbon scraps for decoration

You will need to Print out the pattern on standard A4 paper but there are many colour photos in the tutorial so you might prefer to view this on your device.

*Main fabric for the hat and bodysuit - Approx 16cms x 30cms. Choose from fabric such as felt, soft plush, velvet or wool. A fabric with some body will work best rather than a thin cotton.
Jersey (preferably doll skin jersey) for the head -approx 15cms square.
5x 20cms strip of felt or soft plush for the hat trim
A small scrap of fabric of your choice for a decorative heart. And optional ribbon scrap for scarf.
Toy stuffing such as hypoallergenic filler.
Machine thread, extra strong sewing thread - eg gutermann upholstery thread and a some embroidery thread - your choice of colour for decoration. Plus red for the mouth.
Black fabric paint for eyes - or black embroidery thread if you plan to stitch eyes
Doll blush for cheeks
Equipment:
Fabric marking pen - I like to use a pilot frixion heat removable pen
Sewing machine
A strong drinking straw (eg an eco metal straw) and a chopstick for turning out tiny limbs.
