I use Royal Mail for items up to 2kg. Items in the UK are referenced or tracked so that they can be traced from the beginning to the end of their journey. Some items will be sent as 'Signed for' or on Special Delivery. these items are fully tracked. International items are always fully tracked from start to end. Fot large parcels I use Parcel Force International to ship items. However, if you wish a courier service or tracking please message me in advance of purchase. For faster delivery please mesage me prior to purchase to ask for a courier quote.

shipping prices are based upon average weights of items. all items are posted with the most economic service to secure safe delivery. where two or more items are purchased the shipment will be combined to give the most economic service. any delivery charges which are unspent will be refunded. Courier if you wish to have courier delivery then please message me and I can arrange this.

Safe handling and Covid

COVID-19. all orders are handled and wrapped with diligence and care - clean surfaces, washed hands and (where possible) freshly washed items. if you have any questions regarding the storage or handling of items then do message me.

Items to be issued to countries within the EU must now have a VAT IOSS number to show customs within the destination country that the VAT has been paid. Some countries also have handling charges for items and these may be asked for by the customs offices of the destination country.

All items are tissue-wrapped before being wrapped in bubble pack. Items are then wrapped in cardboard or fully boxed - sometimes double-boxed. Packages are then usually wrapped in brown paper for travel. where possible I reuse card, tissue and bubble pack. this includes boxes. Items may arrive in an old shoe box or such like - and I am glad to be able to reuse and 'second-life' as many packing items as possible. I ask that customers also think about how they can recycle or donate the packaging for onward reuse.

Packing and posting time frame

I aim to send items out as soon as possible to customers. this is usually within a day or two of purchase (sometimes it can be the same day). I always notify the customer when the item is shipped. Some items may have longer time frames listed but this is to cover juggling family life with small children and so that customers are aware that some items will take more than an overnight turn-around. if you want something very urgently then I'm delighted to do this for you. Just make sure that you let me know or even send me a note in advance of purchase - just to put your mind at ease.

a gorgeous millefiore paperweight from - Strathearn glass, Perthshire. with original presentation box.

beautifully made, this paperweight is of clear glass with a core of white lace canes. over this there are eleven millefiore canes in a variety of colours. the weight has five facet windows cut in the sides and the top is also flat.

there is no signature date cane in the millefiore but this style was common around 1970.

it is 51mm high and 60mm in diameter. In excellent vintage condition.

there is an original Strathearn label on the base. it comes in an original blue Faux-leather presentation box. the box is silk-lined and has the Strathearn Glass logo in gold inside.

a truly beautiful item which would be an ideal gift for a collector.
