Hutschenreuther (Germany) limited edition Birth Plate 1 — "Geburt und Taufe" (Birth and Christening), 1978, designed by the Danish artist Ole Winther. A poetic Art Nouveau-inspired scene: a crowned winged fairy presents a blessing scroll to a child standing on a lily pad, surrounded by hibiscus flowers, a jeweled butterfly, a swallow and a smiling sun. Square form with gilt rim. Numbered Limited Edition No. 3882/10,000, with the artist's gold signature and trilingual edition text on the reverse. Original brass hanger attached — ready to display.
Please note: per the original factory label, this is a decorative wall plate only — unsafe for food (decoration contains lead/cadmium).

11.6 x 11.6 in / 29.5 x 29.5 cm
Weight: 2.5 lb / 1144 g
