Copper may cause temporary skin discoloration for some (but not all) wearers. This is a natural and known reaction to pure copper jewelry. I do not seal my copper pieces so you can benefit fully from copper’s healing and energetic properties. If you prefer, I can add a high-quality jewelry lacquer for $5. What’s the difference between bright copper and antique copper?

Bright Copper: Shiny and warm, it may darken over time. A quick polish with a jewelry cloth will restore its glow. Antique Copper: Darkened through a natural process with Liver of Sulfur, giving the piece an earthy, aged patina. With wear, especially on rings, highlights may brighten — leaving a naturally aged look unique to you.

Will my jewelry look exactly like the photos?

Each piece is handmade with raw and natural stones, so slight variations in shape, color, and texture are normal. Your stone will always be of equal quality, but your piece will be truly unique and one-of-a-kind. If labeled OOAK (one-of-a-kind), you will receive the exact piece pictured. If made-to-order, expect small natural differences.

How do I care for copper and crystal jewelry?

Keep jewelry dry and avoid water, sweat, and chemicals. Store in a cool, dry place. A soft jewelry cloth will restore copper’s shine. Crystals should be wiped gently with a soft cloth. Each order includes a care guide for long-lasting beauty.

What makes electroformed jewelry unique?

Electroforming is a slow process where pure copper grows around the stone in a bath, layer by layer. This creates organic textures and natural forms that cannot be replicated with casting or machine-made jewelry. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, just like the crystals themselves.

Will copper jewelry tarnish?

Yes, copper naturally oxidizes over time, deepening in color. Many people love the earthy patina. If you prefer it bright, gently polish with a soft cloth. Optional: apply a thin coat of clear jewelry sealant or nail polish inside rings to slow patina.

This kunzite crescent moon ring features a genuine raw kunzite crystal in soft pink-lilac, approximately 15mm, shaped into a crescent moon silhouette and encased in copper that follows its curved form exactly. Why Kunzite
Kunzite is a naturally occurring variety of spodumene, a lithium aluminum silicate mineral, its soft pink-lilac color the result of manganese impurities during formation. Found primarily in Afghanistan, Brazil, and the United States. One of the more recently discovered gemstones — first described in 1902 and named after gemologist George Frederick Kunz. Long associated with the heart chakra (Anahata) and with love, emotional clarity, and compassion. Its color can fade with prolonged exposure to strong sunlight — store away from direct light when not wearing. No mystical claims. Just a beautiful stone with a meaning that fits real life.

How This Handmade Kunzite Ring Is Made
Each kunzite crescent moon ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every raw crystal for its color and natural crescent form, then encase it in copper using traditional electroforming techniques. Copper grows directly around the stone through an electrical process, following the curved crescent silhouette exactly. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every handmade ring from this studio is one of a kind.
