The fabric can be medium weight fabric such as satin, cotton, linen, silk taffeta, or poplin. Just use your previous sewing knowledge to understand what will work best. Lightweight fabrics could also work too.
The Brie bag is a small bucket style bag, with an attached frill, lining and lining pocket too. The handles are made with bias strips and can be made into little bows too.

Very creative idea and clear, easy to follow pattern. I am a complete beginner in sewing (this was my second sewing project after a very simple one) and I learned a lot from this occasion bag pattern.
