A cute little vintage 1960's gold frog brooch that is so adorable! The frog is small and made of gold plated metal. He is enameled in green and has finely detailed textured bumps on his back and legs. His eyes are sparkling red rhinestones. The perfect gift for a nature / animal lover or collector of MCM Mid-Century Modern era costume jewelry.
Scatter pins were very popular the 1950's / 1960's. They were smaller matching or identical pins created in sets of 2 or more that would be worn all at once and "scattered" to accent various pieces of clothing. For example, a set of three might add a bit of sparkle to a scarf, cardigan sweater, and skirt, all at the same time. Quite fun, and rather rare, as they were only popular for a relatively small period of history. I abolutely adore them and love to collect them myself!
