Forest Floor Art Print: Boreal Foliage, Berries, Fungi (12x12 Giclee)

"Boreal Floor Beauty" is a signed high-resolution paper reproduction of my original 2D felted wool fiber art featuring my ode to the fall forest floor foliage that is a source of nourishment, serenity, medicine and peace for all those who remember to look down.

The original artwork was made completely by hand by both needle felting and wet felting, manipulating colorful dyed sheep's wool fibers first with a specialized barbed needle, then securing those fibers more fully with soap and water. My craft has been called "painting with wool" because felt artists use wool much like a painter creates with paint on a canvas. Living so close to this beautiful area has allowed me to study, take numerous reference photos and paint watercolor sketches of all the beautiful fall foliage to work from before creating my original fiber art, when completed I then photograph for reproductions such as this one using archival inks and papers. Archival inks vibrancy can last 100 years if stored out of direct sunlight!

This is an archival giclee printed on fine art paper with a warm white base tone and a slightly mottled texture. These qualities give my fiber art reproduction prints a distinctively handmade and hand-crafted feel, truly capturing all the delicious details of my original fiber art. The printed area of "Boreal Floor Beauty" is 11 inches wide by 11 inches tall, with a warm white border to set of this festive foliage scene beautifully. This signed archival art print fits perfectly in a standard square 12x12 inch frame.

My prints are packaged with cardboard backing inside a clear cellophane sleeve for protection then are sandwiched between recycled cardboard and mailed in a plastic mailer to further keep out moisture and ensure your art print arrives flat and dry. I frequently recycle clean cardboard whenever possible when packaging my prints for shipment.
