Our blankets are made from 100% wool of Carpathian sheep. In Ukraine, we call them LIZHNYK.
Woolen blankets are thick, warm and soft. Thanks to strength, blankets remain beautiful for many years. This product is completely handmade, so each piece is unique in itself. Such a thick blanket will make your home warm and cozy. Each item has its own design and is different from other blankets, adding a simple and attractive look to any room.
We use natural materials to make a lizhnyk. Sheep wool goes through several stages of cleaning. It is first treated with hot water, and then rinsed with cold water until the wool is clean. After that, it is necessary to comb, and then make a thread manually with the help of a spindle. On a traditional loom, the craftswoman skillfully makes a lizhnyk according to the required size and color. Finished products are washed and thoroughly cleaned in a tumbler - a specially wooden place where they spin for several hours under water pressure. This makes them thicker and softer. We dry our items in the mountain air. We recommend shaking and airing from time to time on a warm day.
This blanket has a special energy that conveys the power of the Carpathian Mountains and the warmth of the craftswoman's hands.

Overall, great blanket! The weave is a little looser than I expected but the blanket breathes super well so it’s not too heavy/warm to be practical. I fold it in half and with a double layer the blanket is super warm (almost too warm and I live in fairly cold area). Customer service and communication was great. If I ever need more/another wool blanket I’ll absolutely buy this exact blanket again!
