How to Use:

1. Select Your Wood: Choose a high-quality wood plank of your desired size and thickness. Ensure it's smooth and free from any defects for the best results.
2. Secure the Template: Place the acrylic template on top of your wooden plank, aligning it carefully to achieve the desired design. Our clear templates allow you to see the grain while laying out your position for the most control of your finished wood board. Secure the template in place using clamps or double sided tape to prevent any movement during the cutting process.
3. Trace the Design: With the template securely in place, use a pencil or marking tool to trace the outline of the design onto the wooden surface. Take your time to ensure accurate tracing, as this will guide your cutting process.
4. Cut with Precision: Once the design is traced onto the wood, use your preferred cutting tool – whether it's a jigsaw, bandsaw, or scroll saw – to carefully cut along the traced lines. You only need to cut close to the line to remove excess material; we will use a flush trim router bit to get it exact.
5. Flush Trim: Use a flush trim router bit and a palm router or table to cut the board to match the template. Set the router bearing to the template and allow the bearing to reference the side of the template all the way around. This will flush cut your wood to the template shape.
6. Fine-Tune and Sand: After cutting, use sandpaper or a wood file to refine any rough edges and smooth out the surface of the board. This step is essential for achieving a polished finish and ensuring the template's design shines through beautifully.
7. Finish to Perfection: Apply your preferred finish – whether it's stain, oil, epoxy, etc. – to enhance the natural beauty of the wood and protect it from wear and tear. Let the finish dry completely before handling or displaying your finished wooden board.
