The patterns and instructions are straightforward. If you have sewn bathing suits and binding before, you'll be fine. I added elastic to all of the binding seams when I serged them, which was not specified in the instruction. Also, instead of folding the binding twice to hide the raw edge, I folded the binding once and trimmed the excess, which for me was much easier.
