The good: The table pedestal and table top are solid materials. The pedestal is nicely finished. Customer service is top notch. The table looks nice. The seller resolved my issues promptly and fairly. The bad: My table top (natural birch) was quite rough to the touch. After further research and refinishing it, I am convinced the roughness was popped up wood grain from the water based polyurethane that was not properly sanded after initial coating. I also had trouble with assembly. The parts assemble using two, two-sided screws to link the three pieces. Cross threading is a major problem as you have to spin the parts relative to each other to thread the screw, and the tolerances do not give precise alignment. The tabletop is also prone to turning when you bump it. Also, paid $57.50 in unexpected import fees.

Buyer beware! I received an 18% tariff bill for this item (shipped from Turkey) making the value of this table drop precipitously. I like it well enough but had it been clear that I’d be paying the tariff in addition to to the purchase price I probably would have found another source.
