Highlights
This unique piece was originally a full length Kimono. I cleaned it, shortened it and made side pockets and a matching bag with the off-cuts, closed the underarms and added cotton tie strings.
The outer is made of Chirimen silk (silk crepe) and the partial lining is silk habutae. It is light and has a gorgeous supple feel to it.
Mostly hand sewn with silk threads - I used machines to alter though.
The actual base colour is more beige than white, warmer than it appears in the photos.
There are a few minor defects (see the last pic for the main ones) but you really have to look for them. They are not noticeable.
Washing: professional dry cleaning or actual hand wash, no spin and flat dry. Do not wash silk unless you really have to..
Silk will keep you cool in the summer, warm in winter.
The model in the photos and the video is 164cm (5'4) UK10 US6.
Size: Women UK 8 - 12 , US Small, Eur 40.
The sleeves would be 3/5 length.
Neck point to hem: 44.5 inches, 113 cm.
