Yes, you can smoke indoors by using a hose to vent the smoke outside. Simply place the smoker on a heat source, attach a hose to the smoke outlet, and fill the water seal. We recommend not opening the smoker during the process to prevent smoke from escaping. After smoking, let the product sit for about an hour to absorb the flavor before opening the lid. We can include the hose as a gift if needed.

How should I store and maintain the smoker?

Store the smoker in a utility room, wrapped in plastic to minimize air exposure and prevent the smell of smoked foods from affecting your space. After use, wait for it to cool down, then clean it immediately by wiping the inside with paper towels, using minimal water. Dry thoroughly to avoid rust. To prevent rusting, some customers recommend coating the inside walls with vegetable oil or animal fat before and after smoking. This creates a protective barrier against moisture.

What are the key guidelines for smoking (temperature, time, and preparation)?

For hot smoking, maintain a temperature below 80°C (60°C for fish, 70-80°C for poultry, 80°C for meat) and smoke for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Cold smoking should be done at 20-30°C and can last from 10 hours to several days, depending on the recipe. You can slightly moisten the wood chips for hot smoking but not for cold. Wrapping food in cheesecloth is optional but can improve the product's appearance by filtering unwanted residues. If the food turns bitter or black, lower the smoking temperature for future sessions.

The warranty for smokers with a thickness of 1mm and 1.5mm is one year, while those made with 2mm thick stainless steel come with a three-year warranty.

How much food can the smoker hold?

The small smoker can hold up to 3 kg of food, the medium one accommodates 5 kg, and the large smoker can fit 7 kg or more. In fact, some customers have successfully smoked up to 15 kg of goose, so we confidently state that the large smoker can handle up to 15 kg of food.

What a wonderful smoker! I have been on the hunt for a good quality smoker for some time, but none of the options were passing the experienced eye of my father. Until I sent him the listing to this one! He said that this is the perfect model - the best in the world in fact - and that he has the same one (albeit vintage). Considering that my dad has 40+ years of cooking experience, I decided to follow his advice. While I have not used it yet, I have been assured by my dad that this is the ultimate smoker as it takes up little space, can fit a lot in, is easy to use and clean, and that a better model hasn't been invented yet. The seller was a joy to communicate with, parcel arrived quickly, was well-packaged, and overall I had a great experience here. Highly recommend to anyone!
