Rustic handmade and painted by Mexican Artists in Tonalá , Jalisco.
Perfect for boiling water for tea, coffee, etc. These kettles are very difficult to find and would make for a perfect gift. They have beautiful hand painted designs and look perfect sitting on the stove.
Kettle
Approx. 9.5 inches high with lid
Approx. 9 in wide spout to handle
Approx. 40 oz capacity
May be used on gas stove, electric stove (with heat diffuser), or wood fire after curing.
Barro must be cured before using. Completely emerge in water for 12 hours. Rub garlic on outside and inside of pot. Fill your clay pot with water and a handful of fresh garlic. Place on your stove and bring to a boil. Allow water to simmer until at least half of your water has evaporated. Allow pot to cool. Your pot is now ready for use. Please allow pot to completely cool before washing. Never wash with soap as it will settle into the pores of your pot. You may use equal parts of baking
soda and water to make a paste to clean without ruining the seasoning.
Items are handmade and may have imperfections such as discolorations, tiny bubbles, variations in color, size, unevenness, etc. Items that include a lid may have shape imperfections and may not fit perfectly. Please refer to photos. Items have not been tested for lead unless otherwise stated.
No two pieces will be identical.
*** Please note that we may ship Fed Ex ground or Fed Ex Home Delivery on larger/heavier items.
