Built in 1872, this beacon had weathered storms and guided sailors to safety for over a century, and I wanted to honor its history with a shot that showcased its timeless beauty.
But as I neared the turnoff, trouble struck. Tourists were everywhere, snapping quick photos with no care for the scenery or the shot I envisioned. I could feel my patience wearing thin. The light was fading, and the weather, ominously cloudy, threatened to ruin everything. The wind howled, and the scent of rain mingled with the ocean breeze.
I was about to give up when I remembered my determination. Nothing was going to stop me from capturing this moment. I waited for the crowds to thin, then ventured closer to the cliffs.
