Highlights
25+ Virginia Sweetspire Seeds Fragrant Flower Seeds Aromatic Flower Seeds Cold Hardy Shrub Seeds Perennial Shrub Seeds Tassel White Seeds
Virginia Sweetspire (Itea virginica) is a native semi-evergreen perennial shrub. The flowers have a fragrant aroma and have long attractive clusters of delicate white flowers. This makes a great low maintenance ornamental plant for a garden landscape with its interesting white flowers which attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. The USDA zone is 5-9.
This listing is for 25+ Virginia Sweetspire seeds.
Germination Instructions: Seeds can benefit from a period of cold stratification (33-40 degrees F) to break dormancy, simulating winter conditions (optional but recommended). Do this by (1) wrapping seeds in a moist paper towel in a sealed ziploc bag and store in the refrigerator for 30-60 days or (2) sow outside if 30-60 days of cold (of at least 33-40 degrees F) has not past. Then surface sow seeds by pressing into consistently moist soil (70-85 degrees F), but not waterlogged. Do not cover the seeds deeply, as light aids their germination. Lightly covering with a thin layer of soil is acceptable. Germination may take 2-4 weeks.

Reviews for this item
I can't wait to plant these and see! the packaging was cute
They should really emphasize the plus in 25+. Got more than I bargained for in that little baggy and im grateful ＼(^-^)／
seeds need to be properly stratified so I really can't elaborate yet
All seeds arrived well packaged with inserts to explain the process for good germination. I look forward to planting them and hope they produce well. Thank you for offering native varieties local as so many nurseries and big stores do not.
